I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a Raspberry Pi! According to the latest update, it will be available for purchase at the end of February 2012.
I’ll be using it as:

Did you ever get your Pi, and if so, have you attempted to compile/run Mini vMac?
FYI, MiniVmac does in fact work on the Pi. You can run the pre-compiled version of 3.3.2 for ARM, with the “-alsadev noexist” to disable sound (which is a bit buggy on the pi right now)… or, you can compile your own version. It works quite well, and the performance is excellent!
Thanks for the responses!
I’ve just placed an order for my very own Raspberry Pi! I’ll post some of my experience with it soon!
